Last Post for 2012....

Long overdue as usual...

As an update Mr Ababe had a great fall and broke his wrist on 9 October 2012. He was hospitalised for 2 weeks and I was all over the place during that time! To add sweetener to that, I am currently 7 months pregnant and counting! Syukur syukur Alhamdullillah for Mr Ababe's injury which could have been much worse and for our miracle baby... But let me write about our miracle baby in a separate story...

 

November and December 2012 went by like a lightning bolt across the sky which we had witnessed quite a lot recently.

Ababe Jr was circumcised on 30 November 2012. Thankfully everything went well... It healed in the end... And he was able to wear pants for his kenduri kesyukuran cum 8th birthday party on 15 December 2012!

He wanted another pool party this year but since it kept raining we decided to do it at nenek's house over lunch... And it didn't rain! Amazing!

A simple "Avengers" themed birthday party and as usual mummy missed taking photos of ALL the food served! Hmmphhh!

Will try harder to remember next time...

And this will be my last post for 2012... HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013! May the year ahead be better for all of us.. In Shaa Allah...

Being thankful - Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha

October 2012 didn't just bring the Aidil Adha Celebrations and Halloween but it also brought a horrific incident to my family.

On 9 October 2012 I received a phone call from my sister asking if I was sitting down? Then she proceeded to tell me that Mr Ababe had just fell off the scaffolding at home, he's OK, but he has gone to the clinic to do an x-ray.

I couldn't contact him after that so the whole journey back was a total nightmare... Until I saw him for myself and he looks OK, aside from the broken wrist and a few minor wounds.. Syukur Alhamdullillah...

To make a long story short, went to the hospital, had the hand put in a cast, and went back home. The wrist needs an operation for a metal plate to be inserted so he was admitted into the hospital 2 days later. That's when the nightmare continues. His blood pressure was skyhigh and the operation was postponed to stabilize it.

After 10 WHOLE DAYS of being admitted into the hospital, the doctor decided to push for his operation on a SUNDAY afternoon. He was wheeled into the operation theater at 3.00pm... I sat alone in the waiting room surrounded by other families, some crying some not... and my tears kept pouring and pouring.. I was that scared...

Four hours later (with a splitting headache) he was wheeled out of the Operation Theater all smiling... He wasn't even on General Anasthetics... Syukur Alhamdullillah again...

 

That night we had a light dinner and he rested after that. I promised to get him breakfast the next morning..

 

The next morning when I arrived he said that feels like blacking out I quickly fed him breakfast. After that he ate his medicines (which was a lot)! The ward's floors were being polished that day so he was wheeled into another room which was shared with 5 other patients. Thus it was a bit chaotic. Then again he felt funny. I called the nurse and they checked his blood pressure. It had gone down to 80/60! So they asked him to rest, have some more food and checked the reading again.. Thankfully it gradually went back to normal.. phewwwwww another scare for me... and again.. Syukur Alhamdullillah..

Now he is back at home recuperating... thus we have a lot of things to be thankful for this raya..

To all, let's be thankful for all the small things and big things Allah has bestowed upon us.. Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha...

Malaysian School Calendar for 2013

The Anniversary / BFFs / Friendship Siglap 5 Trip (cont. Part 2)

Took a longer time for this continuation... Sorry for that..

Anyway, Siglap 4 went to JPO/Singapore that Saturday. Shopping was limited as we still need money for Singapore and USS...

That night we introduced them to the gory sup tulang at Beach Road which is our favourite!!!

Second Day was family day.. All of us went our separate ways to visit families in Singapore.. A great day for bonding before we head off to Plaza Singapura to shop at the $2 shop! Bestest!

 That night we ate at Zam Zam for our favourite Briyani and murtabak... Terbabow!!!!

Omaigaddddd we lurve the food!!!!

Oh yeah forgot to mention. Siglap 5 arrived safe and sound that night with the 2 girls and the rest of our bags and Ababe Jr's carseat... Now we're complete..

Continuation.....

Case 1

So anyway, hotels were booked and paid for, USS tickets bought and paid for, no way were the rest of us going to cancel the trip... Sorry ya Siglap 5!

He was almost going into depression mode.. We told him to submit his leave for Monday and Tuesday. And if approved he can leave Sunday after work...

Thankfully his boss approved his leave... Phewwwww case 1 settled.

Case 2

It was a Friday, and a message came in through our bbm asking "if driving license is expired can we drive in Singapore???"

Hmmmm I reserve my comments.. :) we were actually frantic but we thought ok worse case scenario one of us Siglap 2 or 4 can drive his car in Singapore... But what about his journey down to Johor?

Fortunately, you can renew your driving license on Saturday at the Post Office and he managed to do it on Saturday morning!!! Phewwwwww 2nd sigh of relieve...

And with that, Siglap 1, 2, 3 and 4 headed to JPO and Singapore on Saturday, 24 March 2012..

 I'll continue the story again another time...

The Anniversary / BFFs / Friendship Siglap 5 Trip

My BFFs of 25 years wanted to bring their kiddoes to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) so we offered to be the tour guide. Date for USS will be on 26 March 2012 and we will spend 4 days together (24 March - 27 March). 

Another good friend decided to join us with her kid... The more the merrier! USS tickets were bought and hotel rooms were booked and paid... 

Then came the glitches before the trip:-

1. Siglap 5 had to work that weekend as there was a car launch.

2. Siglap 5's driving license expired and he only realised it the Friday before THAT weekend... 

Notice that it all starts with Siglap 5???

Competition Act 2010

I was definitely blur when this Act was first implemented thus the opportunity to attend the briefing on Competition Act 2010 by Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) was not to be missed.

An overview for all you consumers out there....

The Act was passed by Parliament in May 2010 and gazetted in June 2010. It was enforced on 1st January 2012.

MyCC was established to oversee the implementation of the Act. The Commission will investigate against any anti-competitive practices and will also be empowered to impose financial penalties.

In this regard, cartells be aware, be very aware...

A wet Friday morning...

Very wet morning with bad thunderstorm on a Friday morning! Bad combination but we have all gone through that before and most of us survived!

I woke up early, planning to reach office early and have a leisure morning. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. The LRT had some technical glitches and there were many commuters waiting for it to move. Since I've paid for the parking I might as well wait it out.

Alhamdullillah, I didn't have to wait that long... and I reached the office way on time...

22 + 11 years of US

It's that time of the year again... Our anniversary... We met each other 22 years back and have been married for 11 years...

We've been blessed with our only son, Ababe Jr, who's the apple of our life... One day insyaAllah we'll be reunited with Babies Rabbit and Rainbow.. Till then it's the 3 of us..

To my best friend, best listener, sleeping partner, holiday planner, driver, cook, fan cleaner etc etc etc... Happy Anniversary babe. To many many many more...
