The Anniversary / BFFs / Friendship Siglap 5 Trip (cont. Part 1)

Continuation.....

Case 1

So anyway, hotels were booked and paid for, USS tickets bought and paid for, no way were the rest of us going to cancel the trip... Sorry ya Siglap 5!

He was almost going into depression mode.. We told him to submit his leave for Monday and Tuesday. And if approved he can leave Sunday after work...

Thankfully his boss approved his leave... Phewwwww case 1 settled.

Case 2

It was a Friday, and a message came in through our bbm asking "if driving license is expired can we drive in Singapore???"

Hmmmm I reserve my comments.. :) we were actually frantic but we thought ok worse case scenario one of us Siglap 2 or 4 can drive his car in Singapore... But what about his journey down to Johor?

Fortunately, you can renew your driving license on Saturday at the Post Office and he managed to do it on Saturday morning!!! Phewwwwww 2nd sigh of relieve...

And with that, Siglap 1, 2, 3 and 4 headed to JPO and Singapore on Saturday, 24 March 2012..

 I'll continue the story again another time...

The Anniversary / BFFs / Friendship Siglap 5 Trip

My BFFs of 25 years wanted to bring their kiddoes to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) so we offered to be the tour guide. Date for USS will be on 26 March 2012 and we will spend 4 days together (24 March - 27 March). 

Another good friend decided to join us with her kid... The more the merrier! USS tickets were bought and hotel rooms were booked and paid... 

Then came the glitches before the trip:-

1. Siglap 5 had to work that weekend as there was a car launch.

2. Siglap 5's driving license expired and he only realised it the Friday before THAT weekend... 

Notice that it all starts with Siglap 5???

Competition Act 2010

I was definitely blur when this Act was first implemented thus the opportunity to attend the briefing on Competition Act 2010 by Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) was not to be missed.

An overview for all you consumers out there....

The Act was passed by Parliament in May 2010 and gazetted in June 2010. It was enforced on 1st January 2012.

MyCC was established to oversee the implementation of the Act. The Commission will investigate against any anti-competitive practices and will also be empowered to impose financial penalties.

In this regard, cartells be aware, be very aware...

A wet Friday morning...

Very wet morning with bad thunderstorm on a Friday morning! Bad combination but we have all gone through that before and most of us survived!

I woke up early, planning to reach office early and have a leisure morning. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. The LRT had some technical glitches and there were many commuters waiting for it to move. Since I've paid for the parking I might as well wait it out.

Alhamdullillah, I didn't have to wait that long... and I reached the office way on time...

22 + 11 years of US

It's that time of the year again... Our anniversary... We met each other 22 years back and have been married for 11 years...

We've been blessed with our only son, Ababe Jr, who's the apple of our life... One day insyaAllah we'll be reunited with Babies Rabbit and Rainbow.. Till then it's the 3 of us..

To my best friend, best listener, sleeping partner, holiday planner, driver, cook, fan cleaner etc etc etc... Happy Anniversary babe. To many many many more...

"Jonel" of a "Botak" kid

Arrived back home and Ababe Jr asked me if he can buy a “jonel” (journal). He says he wants to start writing a diary. This is after he has watched The Diary of a Wimpy Kid dvd. He already has 4 of the books but he has never thought about starting his own journal until he watched the said movie.

Rummaging through his cupboard he found an old Ben 10 notebook. He asked me if he could use that as a journal and of course I allowed. He immediately started writing and drawing on the inside cover of the journal. His name, a pirate flag, “no wan can touch this” etc.

Then he started writing on each page the date, draw a picture and write a caption or story underneath it. But because he thought his drawings were not good enough, he asked my assistance! My drawing is much worse!

Anyway, the next morning he drew Moron. Called me up on my way to work to inform me of this and then sent me an mms of MORON…

Guess his “jonel” is not a secret after all…

A tribute to Steve Jobs - Job well done (1955 - 2011)

(I am not an Apple user but I find Steve Jobs an inspirational man, thus this tribute.. RIP to the man who shared with the world his bitten apple...)

5 October 2011 Apple Inc released the iPhone 4S which disappointed many as people were expecting the release of the iPhone 5!

6 October 2011 the world was shocked again by the news of the death of Steve Jobs...

May he rest in peace after a legendary legacy that he has left behind. Below are just 2 of many statements made by the man himself which should become an inspiration to us all...
